€2 Commemorative Coins 1–10/15

The Eurozone member states are allowed to issue €2 special coins in commemoration of significant events or remarkable people. These coins can be used as circulation coins. The reverse side of these special euro coins is similar to that of ordinary coins, while the commemorative image is on the national obverse side. The Eurozone member states can also issue a common €2 coin like in 2009 when a common special coin was issued in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Economic and Monetary Union.
