The Commander Grand Cross of the Order of the White Rose of Finland, with a neck chain, is the highest-ranking Finnish decoration. It was designed by Akseli Gallen-Kallela.
The President of Finland usually wears the Grand Cross on a neck chain, but the President also has a Grand Cross with a shoulder-strap for situations where the chain cannot be worn.
The Commander Grand Cross of the Order of the White Rose of Finland is the highest-ranking decoration awarded to foreigners. Most Grand Crosses have been awarded to foreign heads of state, kings or presidents.

The neck chain is custom-made for the president. There are always nine pairs of round ornaments and fir-crosses, but the number of the links varies. The chain usually consists or approx. three hundred links, but more links are required for a robust large president.
