A Limited Edition of Special Coins to be Sold at the Mint of Finland Webstore
The €2 Special Coin “Finnish currency 150 years” will be Launched on 15 NovemberThe 2010 Finnish €2 coins has sparked so much interest that Mint of Finland has almost sold out. From 15 November onwards, a proof quality €2 special coin and coin series including the special euro coin can be ordered at out webstore. At the order of the Ministry of Finance, Mint of Finland has manufactured 1.6 million €2 special “Finnish currency 150 years” coins. The coin will be launched on 15 November 2010. Some of the coins will be launched via the normal circulation process in which the coins will be distributed by the banking system. This means that with a little luck anybody can receive a special coin - for example, at the local supermarket. Which 2010 Special Coins are Available at the Mint of Finland Webstore? We have reserved a small lot of special coins at the webstore. This will allow the fastest buyers to order special coins directly from the manufacturer. Single proof quality special coins will be available at our webstore on 15 November. In addition, we offer an UNC €2 coin product which contains ten €2 special coins in a textile bag. A limited edition of this product will be sold at the webstore from 15 November onwards. A proof coin series including one special coin and one of each Finnish circulation coin issued in 2010 (all proof quality) will be available at our website on 15 November as well. The coin series also includes a silver mint medal with partial gold-plating. BU quality special coins are available at our webstore on 15 November when you order the 2010 BUII coin series “Diversity of Nature.” The coin series includes one special coin and one of each Finnish circulation coin issued in 2010 in BU quality. The exposition was opened as part of Heureka’s main exposition in commemoration of Mint of Finland’s 150th anniversary.
