Every mother deserves a collector coin. The Mothers collector coin is designed by pre-schooler Aleksei Kulagin, age 6. The collector coin pays tribute to the importance of each and every mother. The Mothers collector coin is a part of the Finland 100 programme coordinated by the Ministry of Finance.
The designer of the collector coin, six-year-old Aleksei Kulagin, named his winning drawing minted on the coin ”Mother brought me a balloon”. The balloon on the collector coin evokes celebration – when you have a party, you get balloons.
The numbered collector coin with a nominal value of EUR 20 is packaged in a protective clear capsule set in a glass case that displays the beautiful collector coin brilliantly. A certificate of authenticity containing the collector coin’s technical specifications is also included in the package. The number of the collector coin is stamped on the coin's reverse.
This silver coin struck in Mint of Finland's factory in Vantaa is a part of the Finland 100 programme of the centennial year of Finland's independence. The collector coin has been granted the Key Flag Label of the Association for Finnish Work.
