General information on the Web store

The Webstore products are sold by Mint of Finland Ltd, Business ID 0912125-5. We sell our products to legal adults and Companies residing in Finland and abroad. The product prices include VAT. We reserve the right to change the prices and shipping costs.

 

Placing an order

Products will be placed in the Shopping cart for online ordering at www.mint.fi. The customer will accept the valid delivery terms when placing the order. All orders will be confirmed by e-mail. Order confirmation requires that an e-mail address be provided when placing the order.

 

The order confirmation includes the following information:

• the order number

• the customer's contact information

• the names and prices of the products ordered

• the shipping costs and the total sum of the invoice, incl. VAT separated

• the estimated time of delivery and the Mint of Finland Webstore's contact information

If the customer has selected an incorrect delivery fee for the order, Mint of Finland will cancel the order. Customer service will contact the customer to agree on refunding the order and provide instructions for placing a new order.

Methods of payment

Products and their postage are paid in conjunction with the order. The following methods of payment are available for the users of the webstore: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Danske Bank, Tapiola, Aktia, Nooa, Paikallisosuuspankit, Säästöpankit, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken and credit cards. Online payments are made by using the website of Paytrail Oyj.

Refunds and returns to customers are provided through our payment service provider, Paytrail. If a customer does not wish to use the Paytrail service and wants Mint of Finland to return the funds directly to the customer's account, we will charge a fee of EUR 7 for this service. The fee will be deducted from the sum returned to the customer.

Payments by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard

If you would like to pay by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard, the Mint of Finland Ltd will act solely as the marketer of the respective products and services and will provide the products to the buyer. All complaints and claims for compensation will be handled by Paytrail Oyj.

With regard to payments made by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard, Paytrail Oyj acts as the merchant of the product and the trade transaction takes place between the customer and Paytrail Oyj. The seller is liable to meet all the responsibilities related to the trade. Paytrail Oyj is also the recipient of the payment.

Online banks

Paytrail Oyj (2122839-7) provides the financial and payment service for online payment in co-operation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj buys the payment and disburses it to the seller. For the customer the service functions like a conventional online payment.

 

Delivery times

We ship orders on working days. As a rule, products will be sent by post in one or two working days, but no later than four days from the order date. If your order includes unreleased products, the entire order will be posted to you within four business days of their release date. 

 

Delivery methods and shipping costs

We deliver our products by post using Posti or UPS. Domestic orders are delivered only by Posti. Our delivery charges include postage, packing and postal insurance. With Posti, delivery charges are € 7 to Finland and € 20 to other EU Member States. UPS prices are determined by the country of destination and weight of the shipment. Delivering abroad, the Customer is responsible for customs. Customs policies vary greatly among countries. Please contact your local customs office for information.

 

Acceptance of deliveries

1. Check the delivery before signing for it.
2. Do not accept a damaged delivery and notify the driver/supplier/clerk.
3. If you have accepted a damaged delivery, do not open the package, and notify the carrier and Mint of Finland immediately.

 

If a domestic delivery is not claimed (in Finland)

If the customer does not pick the delivery up from Posti or notify Mint of Finland of cancelling the order, the order will be returned to Mint of Finland as an unclaimed delivery. Mint of Finland's customer service will then make one attempt to reach the customer by telephone or e-mail, depending on the contact details provided by the customer. Customer service will ask the customer whether he or she still wants the delivery or should it be cancelled, in which case the customer may be required to provide a bank account number for the refund.
If customer service is able to contact the customer and he or she wants the order delivered again, a delivery fee of EUR 7 will be added to the price of the order. The delivery fee will be charged cash on delivery when the customer picks the order up.

If customer service is unable to contact the customer, the products included in the delivery will be reclaimed by Mint of Finland. Such products can be sold to other customers in two months (60 days) of the delivery's return. If the customer contacts Mint of Finland after this two-month period to request redelivery of the order, Mint of Finland cannot guarantee availability. If the product is unavailable, the customer will be asked to provide an account number for refunding the price of the products paid by the customer, minus the delivery fee of the returned delivery, which will not be reimbursed.

If the customer has ordered products cash on delivery through Mint of Finland's customer service and the unclaimed delivery is returned to Mint of Finland, the returned delivery will be kept ready for redelivery for two weeks (14 days). If the customer contacts Mint of Finland's customer service within this two-week period to request redelivery, a delivery fee of EUR 7 in addition to the original delivery fee will be added to the price of the order. If the customer does not contact Mint of Finland in two weeks from the order's return, the order will be cancelled. Customers who want their products after this must place a new order, and Mint of Finland cannot guarantee availability.

If an international delivery is not claimed

If an order paid for in the Mint of Finland online shop and delivered abroad is not claimed, it will be returned to Mint of Finland and cancelled.

Mint of Finland's customer service will then make one attempt to reach the customer at the contact details indicated by him or her, by telephone or e-mail, and ask the customer's bank account number for refunding the order. The delivery fee for the returned order will be deducted from the refund.

Customers who want their products after all must place a new order, and Mint of Finland cannot guarantee availability.

 

Replacements and returns

The customers have a 14-day right to a refund under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The right to return items only applies to unused and sellable products stored in their original packaging.

 

How to return and replace products in Finland

 1. Returned products must be unused and stored in their original packaging. Please return all items delivered (the certificate of authenticity included).

 2. Fill in the returns notification included in the dispatch notice and place it in the parcel. Don't forget to include your bank account number.

 3. Return the product in the same package it was delivered to you. Returns are free of charge. Send to:

How to return products from outside Finland

Shipping issues and defective products
