Finnish nature commemorative coin € 20, proof

The Finnish Nature commemorative coin pays tribute to nature. The commemorative coin is a part of the Finland 100 centenary programme of Finland’s independence.

The full moon on the lighthouse island of Harmaja, a crow gazing from its perch – the design of the Finnish Nature collector coin is based on the winning shot in the Blue and White special category of the Nature Photograph of the Year contest. The winning photograph was shot by Kari Auvinen.

The crow symbolises the modern Finnish character – an outwardly common but intelligent bird that reacts flexibly to new situations.

This commemorative coin with a nominal value of EUR 20 is packaged in a clear protective casing, set in a commemorative coin box printed with the technical specifications of the coin.

This silver coin struck in Mint of Finland's factory in Vantaa is a part of the Finland 100 programme of the centennial year of Finland's independence. The commemorative coin has been granted the Key Flag Label of the Association for Finnish Work.
